Musicals at Sugden Community Theatre
To get your dose of entertainment, head to Fifth Street South for a show at the Sugden Community Theatre, home to the Naples Players. Here you’ll be able to see professional quality community theatre like musicals, comedies, and dramas.
The Naples Players produce shows year round with 14 productions a year! Performances are given on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 PM with a matinee on Sundays at 2 PM. Past shows have included Broadway hits like The Producers, Chicago, Oklahoma!, and Noises Off
Cambier Park Concerts
Alongside the performances of the Naples Big Band, Gulf Coast Big Band, Naples Dixieland Jazz Band, and Stardust Memories Big Band you will find occasional performances of jazz and vernacular jazz dance.
Naples Star Ball
Held every Columbus Day weekend in October is the Naples Star Ball.
Dance. What is it? Many say it’s an art others say it’s a lifestyle. At Naples Star Ball you will see the finest in both classical ballroom and latin dance. Held at the Naples Hilton, this is the smaller cousin of the the Swing Into Summer ballroom dance competition.
Swing into Summer
Held every memorial day weekend, this is the area's premiere ballroom dancing event. Held at the Naples Grande Beach Resort it is host to the greats of ballroom dance from around the world. This is a two day event with pro-am, am-am, and professional competition.
Spectator tickets are usually available, and the experience is like watching SYTYCD, Dancing with the Stars, or for you from England, Strictly Come Dancing live.
Classical Ballet
The Naples Ballet
The Naples Ballet is Naples premiere classical ballet company. They perform two programs per year at Artis Naples, of which multiple performance times are available. Tickets are typically $59 - $99 for Naples Ballet performances at Artis Naples.
The Naples Ballet always performs the nutcracker in December and usually performs a popular ballet like Swan Lake, Copelia, or Sleeping Beauty in the spring.
The Naples Ballet also hosts an outdoor performance of the Nutcracker during the tree lighting on 3rd Street South in November.
The Naples Ballet is a nonprofit organization dedicated to setting new standards for artistic excellence, providing the art of ballet as a component of education and promoting cultural enrichment and awareness of the art of dance within the Naples community. As a Vaganova Method based ballet company, you will find a Russian based form true to the style of George Balanchine.
The Naples Ballet is located on 5th Avenue N, just east of 10th St. The company offers classes for all ages as well as enrichment lectures on the history and intricacies of classical ballet.
Études de Ballet and Company
Études de Ballet stages two programs per year of which multiple performance times are available. In December, it is the "Fairytale Nutcracker" every year which has become a much loved holiday tradition in the area. The spring season performance is typically edgier material and has been shows like Cinderella in the past.
Performances take place at the Golden Gate Auditorium and tickets are typically $25.
In contrast to the Vaganova based Naples Ballet, Études de Ballet and Company is a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) based dance company. This is a more "franco-british" style as opposed to the Russian Vaganova style.
The Classical Ballet of Naples
The Classical Ballet of Naples was founded in 2018 by by Mrs. Liliam Gomez, a teacher with 32 years of professional experience in Ballet. She Danced professionally 18 years from 1986 to 2004 and has been working as a Ballet Teacher, Choreographer and Artistic Director for over 17 years from 2000 to 2017 in Cuba, Mexico and USA.
The Classical Ballet of Naples focuses on the "Cuban Ballet School" method of ballet instruction. You will find something for children of all ages and adults. Classes include Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, all levels of Ballet School, Pointe, Variations, Floor Barre, Stretch and Modern classes.
Naples Dance Conservatory
Naples Dance Conservatory formerly known as "TBI" or The Ballet Institute has been under the direction of principal dancer and coach Abdel Roque for the last several years, providing classical ballet training and guidance in southwest Florida for aspiring dancers ages 4 and up.
We are mainly a dance studio dedicated to developing dancers according to the very elegant and powerful Cuban method of dance allowing young students to increase their self discipline, attention and strength. The Cuban Ballet School has produced some of today's best well-known dancers, creating Principal Dancers performing in the best companies around the world

Dance Arts by Maria
Founded in 2006, with a vision to create an environment where all of our students can foster a love and appreciation for the art of dance. This family-friendly studio offers dance instruction for children ages 2 to 18 in ballet and pointe, tap and jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, and acro. The season runs from mid-August to mid-June, with an annual end-of-the-year recital held at Gulf Coast High School.
Backstage Dance Academy
At Backstage Dance Academy the goal is to instill a passion for the art of dance in every child. We do this by providing high quality dance training in an exciting and encouraging environment for both the serious student as well as those who want to learn and have fun. Our faculty consists of instructors with the knowledge, experience and energy to encourage, nurture, educate and inspire children in the technique and discipline in many styles of dance.

Let's Dance With Me studio
Lets Dance With Me Studio is home to about every form of dance. They offer classes in hip hop, jazz, ballroom, latin, and argentine tango.
With occasional showcases, you can join the Lets Dance With Me family for a fun filled evening. Performances, cocktail hour, and many feature and special feature acts. Tickets are available here, and the shows are available via live stream as well.

ReCreation Tappers
ReCreation Tappers of Southwest Florida is a cheerful, non-profit organization of about 120 fun-loving adult recreational tap dancers who live full-time or part-time (yes, "snowbirds") in the southwest Florida communities of Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples, Marco Island and surrounding areas.
Our mission is to encourage appreciation for and participation in the performance of the uniquely American art form known as tap dance. To accomplish this, our members work to improve their tap skills by taking instruction from first-rate teachers at a number of southwest Florida dance studios. And, our Portable Performance Troupe shows off those skills with entertaining public and private performances – free of charge – principally during southwest Florida’s winter "season."

Johnny and Lisa have been some of the main figures in the Naples, FL dance scene for over 10 years.
Johnny and Lisa PerMar are professional dance instructors with over 30 years of experience who continue to demonstrate beautiful chemistry on and off the dance floor. They specialize in American Smooth/Rhythm dances and are two-time Florida State West Coast Swing Champions. They are the ballroom program directors for the Naples Performing Arts Center.

Modern Steps School of Dance has been an East Naples mainstay for many years. They have conducted numerous dance performances alongside concerts in Cambier Park. They offer numerous different classes and programs and if you are a dance aficionado, feel free to check out Modern Steps.
Classes include Bolero, Rumba, West Coast Swing, ChaCha, Foxtrot and Waltz.
Dancing with Marcia
Marcia Barrett is one of the most talented, well respected and experienced dance instructors in Naples. In addition to her energetic and friendly teaching style she has over 40 years of experience. Marcia teaches all levels from beginner to advanced.
Born in Jamaica, Marcia moved to Manitoba, Canada at the age of seven. Her childhood was busy with tap, jazz, ballet, baton, figure skating, and Afro-American dancing. As a part of the prestigious Afro-American Dance Troop she was invited to perform in Jamaica’s 21st Celebration of Independence.
By the age of sixteen, Marcia was working at Rhythm Works Dance Studio and studying ballroom, tap, jazz, and Latin dance. In her early twenties she moved to Toronto where she worked at Arthur Murray Dance Studio for two years training and learning choreography.
On her return to Manitoba she opened her own studio and for the next ten years the Marcia Barrett Company of Dance improved the quality of Ballroom and Latin Dance in the Winnipeg area. Both the adults and children under her instruction competed across Canada and received top honors. Her efforts awarded her the nomination of the YMCA’s Woman of Distinction Award in 1991, and the recognition of the Prefessional Business Woman’s Organization. Marcia has appeared on several television shows and featured in several newspapers.
In 1996, Marcia opened the North Shore Dance Studio in Chicago. It was here she became involved in the world of Salsa. In September 2005, wth her professional partner, Rodrigue Edouard, Marcia won 6th place in the World Mambo Championship.
Marcia moved to Naples, Florida in 2002. She has been teaching for the City of Naples at Katherine’s Church, Quail West, Huntington Lakes, Glades Country Club, Naples Sailing and Yacht Club, Royal Poinciana Golf Club, the Country Club of Naples, Pelican Bay, Pelican Marsh, and Grey Oaks along with private lessons.
In 2014, Dancing with Marcia opened as Marcia’s permanent studio in Naples. She is excited to offer the community private dance lessons, group learning experiences, and parties featuring live music! Dancing with Marcia is a real destination for dance and music lovers!

Celtic
Celtic Spirit Irish Dance
The Irish sisters, Catherine and Claire Gorman grew up in Southwest Florida. They began dancing at the ages of 7 and 5 and have competed throughout Florida and the nation. The sisters have studied throughout the nation including Miami and have completed workshops under former Riverdance lead, Colin Dunne. The Gormans have been performing in the area for over 20 years and have opened for nationally recognized performers such as Andy Cooney, Hal Roach, Dana, and Cherish the Ladies.
With over 30 years of combined experience, the sisters opened the Celtic Spirit School of Irish Dance in 2009. Catherine and Claire choreograph their intricate steps and show routines. Their instruction includes both traditional and competitive Irish Dance steps, both heavy (hard shoes) and ghillies (soft shoes). Today, classes offered include beginner through advanced courses. Since its inception, Celtic Spirit has performed at locations across the Southwest Florida area in both private and public arenas. Celtic Spirit can always been seen with a large float in both the Naples St. Patrick’s Day parade and the Marco Island St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Naples Irish Dance
The Naples School of Irish Dance is affiliated with The Drake School of Irish Dance, an internationally recognized competitive and performance based dance school in Atlanta, Georgia under the direction of Karl Drake.
They are excited to bring the Drake School to Naples Florida, where through dance children gain confidence, social skills, friendships, and enhanced sensory awareness.
They offer competitive and performance programs, beginner through advanced classes, adult classes, Irish dance fitness classes, and after school programs to children ages 4+.
They offer numerous performances throughout the Naples area and collier county. Performances are often in the various pubs and bars in the Naples area as well as available for private events.
Performance events are fun, exciting and beautiful programs that showcase our dancers from the youngest beginners to Drake's world class championship competitors.
